BMW named official car partner of the GT Festival at Phillip Island

• BMW XM and X6 M60i selected as Official Safety Car and Course Car Supplier

• BMW partner with SRO Australia

BMW will provide the Official Safety Car and Course Car at Round 4 of Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia series, thanks to a new partnership between BMW Australia and SRO Motorsports Australia.
 
The BMW XM and X6 M60i will act as the Safety Cars and Course Cars at Phillip Island, and there will be four of the brand's cars featured in the GT4 competition. 
Tim Leahey and Cody Burcher will compete in the Pro-Am class in their Genuine BMW Parts-supported M4 GT4, while Randall Racing enters two Am class leading M4s, including Australian touring car legend John Bowe in one of the cars. The Randall Racing team enjoyed immense success at the most recent round of the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series, finishing first and second in class in the three-hour endurance race. Meanwhile TekworkX will be running Steve Jakic and Ryder Quinn in the Pro-Am class.
 
The GT Festival at Phillip Island will be held on August 23-25, featuring the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, Monochrome GT4 and the Meguiar's Australian Production Cars.
 
Entry for fans to the event is free, while the German marque's M2 and M4 competition models will be utilised on display throughout the event.
