Aussie international Nick Foster will return to Australian shores for the Adelaide street event, competing with Triple Eight and Johor Racing in the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS next week.
Foster, 30, is a former Carrera Cup Australia champion and has since moved his career into global sport car competition, competing in any number of GT and sportscar style racing.
Recently, Foster has been team-mate to Prince Jefri Ibrahim in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia, winning the 2022 Pro-Am class, as well as the team's championship.
Foster will venture to Adelaide to rekindle that partnership as Jefri's local co-drivers, Shane van Gisbergen and Broc Feeney, are both unavailable due to their Supercars racing commitments.
Triple Eight will field two cars on the famous Adelaide streets, with Supercars legend Jamie Whincup returning to the track alongside Jefri's brother, Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim.
In the hands of Abu Bakar at the recent Supercheap Auto Bathurst International, his Mercedes AMG endured a wild crash at the top of the mountain.
While that car is being repaired, the team has brought out of its Asian-based Mercedes for the South Australian event. The Triple Eight team will pick it up from the docks in Sydney before heading to the Adelaide event.
The final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge will see a top-line field of GT3 sports cars hit the track from Thursday where they will contest three 40 minute races.
