Returning to the Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit was an opportunity to good to miss for Scott Taylor as he will contest the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS.
In contention for the GT Trophy crown after winning the class at Queensland Raceway, Taylor will take up the challenge of bridging the 22-point gap to leader Brad Schumacher.
Taylor will use his Porsche 911 GT3R during the race weekend, but preparations start on Wednesday as he uses his GT3 road-car to clock laps on a Driving Solutions Track Day as the experienced racer takes every opportunity to gain mileage.
Relishing the opportunity to race for what is his fifth time in Adelaide, Taylor declared the event an unmissable spectacle.
“It’s a really cool track in a cool city, it’s not an event you want to miss,” said Taylor.
“Looking at the calendar there’s some really fun places to go to, Gold Coast, Townsville and Darwin are some of the others. They’re the events I really enjoy, which is all the reason I go racing.”
Welcoming added competition in GT Trophy, Taylor revealed plenty of work has been completed on his Porsche since Queensland Raceway in August.
“It’s great to have some more cars on the grid and some more competition in Trophy Class this weekend, the more the merrier,” Taylor said.
“The car looks great as always, it’s been rebuilt since our last race with it, so we had a shakedown at Queensland Raceway which went well.”
The final round of the 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS will be decided by three 40 minute sprint races, unique to the previous events this season.
