Kelvin van der Linde and Tony Bates penalised following safety car infringement

Liam Talbot and Fraser Ross in the Shannons Insurance Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II have taken victory in Race 2 of the season finale for fanatic GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS at the Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit.

Although first across the line, the C-Tech Audi shared by factory ace Kelvin van der Linde and Tony Bates was handed a 5s post-race penalty due to a safety car infraction early in the race. This has dropped the entry to second to elevate the Shannons Insurance pairing to the win.

This doesn’t change the title scenario as Yasser Shahin is set to secure back-to-back Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia titles.

The final race of the season is due to start at 8:40am ACDT today.
