Ross Poulakis and Jayden Ojeda have been elevated to winners of the opening race in Round 3 of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS following a post-race penalty for the EMA Motorsport Porsche.
Having crossed the line first, the 911 GT3R driven by Yasser Shahin and Garnet Patterson was penalised five seconds for not maintaining the correct speed on the Safety Car restart mid way though yesterday's 60-minute race.
The car was determined to have been travelling too slowly when the Safety Car was withdrawn, and penalised 5 seconds.
That change elevates the Harrolds Volante Rosso Mercedes AMG GT3 driven by Ross Poulakis and Jayden Ojeda to the victory.
It's the first win for the team and the first for Mercedes-AMG in the championship this year.
The Stephen & Brenton Grove Porsche is elevated to second position - having started 21st - with the Audi R8 LMS of Geoff Emery and Max Hofer third.
Shahin and Patterson have been relegated to fourth position.
The field returns for a second, one-hour race today at Phillip Island's Shannons SpeedSeries event, with Poulakis and Ojeda starting on pole thanks to their efforts in Qualifying 2 yesterday. The EMA Porsche will start second.
