SRO Australia is opening the gates of Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit to all motorsport fans later this year, as it hosts the inaugural GT Festival at the famed Victorian circuit in August.
The three-day event, featuring both the fourth rounds of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series, will be a celebration of all things GT, including the best sportscar racing in Australia.
The GT Festival will be held on August 23-25, 2024.
The free admission to the circuit will give fans an all access pass to the event, with the chance to see GT cars up close. Not to mention the opportunity to rub shoulders with stars like Chaz Mostert, Will Brown, Jaxon Evans, Declan Fraser and Jayden Ojeda. SRO Australia will welcome everyone to join the Teams and Drivers on the grid ahead of the GT race starts on Sunday.
Also on the racing menu at The Island will be the Meguiar's Australia Production Cars.
Fanatec GT3 Australia and Monochrome GT4 will both conduct two one hour races – one each on Saturday and Sunday. The Production Cars will enjoy four 60 minute races across the weekend.
Friday’s track activity will be for practice only.
More details for the event including track times, broadcasting and media accreditation will be made available in due course.
