Sprint calendar confirmed for 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS
An exciting six round sprint calendar for the 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS has been confirmed.
The world’s greatest sports cars will return to some of the best circuits in Australia, with professional and amateur drivers fighting it out for the prestigious titles.
The 2023 season will mark the third championship for the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS following the successful joint venture between SRO Motorsports and the Australian Racing Group.
The championship will have an even split between SpeedSeries and Supercars events, giving fans and competitors the best chance to see the likes of Mercedes AMG, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and more go head-to-head.
GT racing for 2023 will commence at Australia’s greatest race track, Mount Panorama as a lead support act to the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on the Easter long weekend.
Round 2 heads to the west coast as part of the Supercars Championship later in April, followed by the fast and flowing Phillip Island circuit – the perfect backdrop and track for GT racing.
Sydney Motorsport Park will host Round 4 as part of the Supercars SuperNight before rounding out the season at Queensland Raceway and, like this year, the famous Adelaide street track.
All races will be broadcast on Stan Sport (SpeedSeries) and Foxtel/Kayo (Supercars).
The endurance fixture and sprint race formats will be confirmed in due course.
